Oscars 2026: Neeraj Ghaywan's Homebound Shortlisted in The Best International Feature Film Category_我的网站

A |     Team Homebound is a step closer to turning its Oscar dream into a reality. The Neeraj Ghaywan directorial has been shortlisted for the Academy Awards 2026 in the Best International Feature Film category, placing it among 15 selected from submissions by 86 countries.     With this announcement, Homebound has cleared a crucial stage in the Oscar race, and the next step is the nomination round. Academy members are required to watch all 15 films before proceeding to vote for the final five nominees. Some other films that have been shortlisted are Palestine 36 from Palestine, The Voice of Hind Rajab from Tunisia, No Other Choice from South Korea and The Secret Agent from Brazil.     Producer Karan Johar took to social media to express his gratitude and wrote, "I am not sure I can articulate how proud, elated and over the moon I am with the journey of #HOMEBOUND… all of us @dharmamovies are privileged to have this proud and important film in our filmography … thank you @neeraj.ghaywan for making so many dreams of ours come true… from Cannes to being on the Oscar shortlist this has been such an overwhelming journey! Kareena posted a set of sweet family photographs designed like polaroid prints, capturing precious memories and close bonds.     The first picture featured Sharmila Tagore with her son, actor Saif Ali Khan. On the polaroid frame, Kareena wrote, “Happy Birthday Amma”, expressing her love and respect in a simple but meaningful way.
